About to purchase a 27 inch iMac and would like the option to mount it to an arm in the future. This means ordering it with the VESA mount. I've been searching for a decent deck stand for the iMac that would mount to the VESA plate until I do a wall mount. Not finding much and I'd like to be able to rotate to portrait and landscape. As well as height and some tilt. Can't do a clamp mount because my desktop is thin glass. Anyone have any suggestions or links to something that might work?

So far just found one on Amazon but the base is 23 inches wide. Wish I could take the stand of one of my Dell monitors and just use that. Maybe that had something to do with it. It's opposite that 2012 and later 27' iMac is thinner.

But this is a big comprise and I am doomed now in this situation that caused me a bit of neck pain and headache as now I have to look up a bit more than used to be with Dell U2713H which has the same viewing screen area but much shorter in bottom and somewhat at top edges while I still can adjust its height on its excellent stand. I really hope I can lower this 27' iMac by 2', sigh. Why Apple has to design stand in this way (look good but so inflexible and inconvenience in real usage even on old 2011 model and earlier that altough you can replace it with VESA adapter but will take some effort and cost).
